धीरे-धीरे ढल गया दिन, साँझ उतर आई, गोधूलि की बेला में, मधुर स्मृति छा गई। पंछी अपने नीड़ों को, अब लौट चले हैं, धैर्य समेटे वृक्ष भी, चुपचाप खड़े हैं। अंधकार के परदे में, छिप रहा संसार, तारों की रोशनी में, जगमगा रहा प्यार। एक दीप जो जलता है, एकाकी कोने में, कितनी आशा भर देता, इस सूने जीवन में।

Slowly, the day declined, evening descended, In the twilight hour, sweet memories pervaded. Birds have now returned to their nests, Trees, gathering patience, stand silently. The world hides behind curtains of darkness, Love shines brightly in the light of stars. A single lamp that burns, in a solitary corner, Fills so much hope into this desolate life.
