ले चल मुझे भुलावा देकर, मेरे नाविक! धीरे-धीरे। जिस निर्जन में सागर लहरी, अम्बर के कानों में गहरी निश्छल प्रेम कथा कहती हो तज कोलाहल की अवनी रे! जहाँ साँझ-सी मधुर कल्पना, ढुलकाती हो अपनी करुणा, और जहाँ एकांत बैठ कर अपना दुख कोई रोता हो।

Take me away, deceivingly, My boatman! Slowly, slowly. To that desolate place where ocean waves, Into the ears of the sky, deeply Narrate an innocent love story, Leaving behind the earth's clamor! Where imagination, sweet like twilight, Pours forth its compassion, And where, sitting in solitude, Someone weeps their sorrow.
