फैली खेतों में दूर तलक मख़मल की कोमल हरियाली, लिपटी जिससे रवि की किरणें चाँदी की सी उजली जाली। तिनकों के हरे हरे तन पर हिल हरित रुधिर है रहा झलक, श्यामलरुचि चाँदी की सफ़ेद गोलियों से भर गई रेत।

Spread far across the fields Soft greenery like velvet, Entwined with the sun's rays A bright net, as if of silver. On the green bodies of the blades Vibrates a glimpse of green blood, The dark sand, now pale silver, Filled with glistening beads.
